1st Day In Mumbai

Mumbai, earlier known as Bombay is a place where you live your life. Mumbai is most modern and most happening city of India.A popular reason for the Mumbai to be most happening city of India because: Mumbai allows to just be or even become anyone you want to be.The city is also host to be the world's largest film industry , known as Bollywood.

The best entertainment  spots, the liveliest cultural melting pots, the popular and yummiest meals-Mumbai is a place where you can find that.
Though the seven island that now make up the city have a long recorded history like any other place in India.
So its time to see the most financial, commercial and entertainment capital of India, Mumbai.

Juhu Beach:

Just lye on the beach.Groves of palm trees expansive sandy stretches render immense beauty of the beach.Just click photos to take the beauty with you. Lying on the beach and just take a long breadth and see the silent morning sky.
It is 18 k.m to the north of of the city centers on the shores of Arabian Sea.

The Nutcracker:

A small cafe in South Bombay and it is famous for its adorable interior and scrumptious breakfast options.Only 20 to 25 people can sit at a time, a very small restaurant.
Be before 10 a.m to get seat because after that it becomes quite crowded.
Due to less people the service is real quick and cakes were really awesome there.

You are going to be there for around 1-2 hrs.

Gateway of India:

Located at Apollo Bunder wavefront in South Mumbai, and is the one thing to see when you hit the shores.
It is very easy to reach there, city buses always help you to reach any destination in Mumbai. After 1/2 hr of travelling I reached the Gateway of India.

Gateway of India is one of the most popular and historical moments in India.
When Mahatma Gandhi returned to India from South Africa to fight for our country's independence,he arrived through this arch where he was welcomed warmly by the fellow countrymen who had a lot about him.

People from all around the world come here to see the real history.
This place will take your 1-2 hrs.

Elephanta Caves:

Located at midst of Arabian Sea, a short distance from Gateway of India, for about 45 minutes in ferry. There are many ferries available. There is no exact timing, the timing is after sunrise to before sunset and closed on Mondays.
Entry fees is 10 R.s for Indians and 250 R.s for foreigners and free for children below 15 years of age.

The entrance is from 3 sides so enter from there where the ferry takes you.

There are two groups of caves. The east comprises the Stupa Hill and contains two caves ,one of which is unfinished. To the west are five rock-cut Hindu shrines. The main cave has the famous Shiva idol and is still full of magnificence and brilliance.Besides, the cave has a square mandala and measures around 27 m.The remaining five caves depict Shiva in various forms.

Various temples are cut out of rock, along with columns. The space inside consists of a main chamber and has two lateral chambers, shrines and courtyards. Above the temples you can see the natural rock out of which the temples have been carved. What attracts the visitor most are the Trimurti, Shivalingam, Kalyansundara, Gangadhara, Uma maheswara and Ardhanarisara sculptures, which are all the forms of Lord Shiva.

This will take your 2-3 hrs and the day gets end.

You already know this is Mumbai ,"Mumbai never sleeps".If you want you can go to night club as I went "Prive" and the address is 41/44 Mon Repos ,Ground Floor, Minoo Desai Road, Colaba. You can also visit the AER Night Club.
Man doing fire stunts at club.

This is not end. This is only 1st day in Mumbai. There are many places to visit still now.

                                                            Mumbai with 10000 Rs.

One Day In Vellore

I have also heard about so much things but most popular place of Vellore city is Srilakshmi Golden Temple.

Vellore is a city and it is situated on the bank of Palar River. When I came here the climate was semi-arid and little bit of  rainfall with temperature of about 25 degrees. There is on time for winter season. As North people get the winter holidays , South Indian people get the rainy holidays. Mostly the rainfall comes during October, November and December.

Vellore is actually a small city, can be visit in 1 day.As  1 day is enough, but I have to being hurry because the places I am going to visit are mostly outside the city.Golden Temple is famous of the city and the collage VIT University,Vellore is also famous collage for Engineering collage.People from all over the India came here to study B-Tech.Mostly famous for B-Tech only as of SRM University, where I am studying. There is a tight competition between the VIT Vellore and SRM University ,because in both University almost all companies come for offering jobs. But i selected SRM University, because it is in Chennai.

Vellore is also a good place.

Vellore Fort:
The fort is situated in the centre of the Vellore city.

Just type on GPS or tell the cab driver Vellore Fort, Vellore. He will take you there.Make sure when you were telling the address you must be confident otherwise the auto wala will charge you like a tourist foreigner.I must recommend to book a cab like Ola or Uber, so that you will get their at cheap rate.
It was built in year 1566 AD. The architecture of this fort is amazing as it cover over 133 acres of land and a river flowing through. The view from the upper side of the fort is awesome. f you are in Vellore it will be one o the best place to visit in Vellore.

The fort houses a Temple, a Mosque , a Church and a renowned Vellore Christian Hospital.
There is a museum inside the fort and opens daily a 9:00 a.m to 12:30 p.m. and in afternoon 2:00 p.m till evening 5:00.The fees for the museum is INR 5/-.

Its good from inside. This is only one image. When I went because of some security issues they were not allowing to click images, but I clicked one for you all only.

Golden Temple:

After about 30 minutes of journey from Vellore Fort finaly I came here at Golden Temple, known as
Sripuram Golden Temple. This temple is located over 100 acres of land.
The temple has about 9 to 10 layers of gold covering on a etched copper plates.
The gold covering has intricate work which can only be done by articians specializing in temple art using gold.
Made by about 600 crores in about 6 years.

If you tell random people about Golden Temple in India other than Vellore, they will definitely give you the address of the Golden Temple, Amirtsar .This temple is not that famous but will become famous soon.

Every single art has a significance from the vedas. There is a star shaped path positioned in the middle of lush green landscape , with a length of over 2 k.m. One has to walk along the star path to reach the temple in the middle.

The garden and the surrounding of the temple is very good. And look more beautiful at night due to the brightness come from the gold due to moon light.

Now pack my bags to go again to Chennai to catch my flight to Mumbai ,Maharashtra.
The only place in India where people say "Its never late".

Two days in Bangalore

On the way to Delhi I know two places where I can't miss to visit.Bangalore is one of them.So its time to roam around Bangalore.

Bangalore, now known as Bengaluru. It  is a city of salurious climate, and always bubbling with life and energy, reprenting a potpourri of people and culture.
One of India's largest cities, it's earned several names such as Silicon Valley of India, Pub Capital of India, Air Conditioned City, and City of Gardens.Bangalore was also known as Pensioners Paradise, prior to the IT revolution. Now, the city is a wonderful blend of past and present.

Bangalore Palace:

I came here in morning. The timing for the palace is 10A.M. to 5:30 P.M.As you can see, the whether in the photo is awesome. I am Indian so to see interior of this palace I paid Rs. 225 and for foreigners is Rs. 450 including nifty audio guide. If you want to click photo inside you have to pay Rs.675 more.
There are about 30,000 photographs currently present in the palace. There is a amusement park also in the park complex fun rides and snow room.

Film City:

To be there is one the most greatest thing.
It is situated 40 kms outside the city but you must go there.Entry fees is Rs.599 per person. There re  many things to see like there is India's 1st Dinosaur park,Cartoon City,Mirror Maze. And many other things like Louis Tassaud's Wax Museum,Go Karting, Min Golf, Adventure Sports,Double Decker Carrousel, amusement park and water park.
Film city has taken my full day.

Dodda Ganesha Temple:

i started my next morning visiting the temple. It is located near Bull Temple, a popular landmark of Bangalore.Thia temple is also known as Nandhi Temple.

The bull referred to is a sacred Hindu Demi-god, known as Nandi. Nandi is a close devotee and attendant of Shiva. Dodda Basavana Gudi is said to be the biggest temple to Nandi in the world. The stone cult image of Nandi is continually covered with new layers of butter, benne in the local language of Kannada. There is a cult image of the elephant-headed Hindu deity son of shiva Ganesha close by.

Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum

This museum has many type of gallaries like Engine Hall, Fun Science, How Things Work and many more.My favourite gallery was Computer Gallery.
There are many other things also like 11" Clestron Telescope with GPS for night sky observtion, mobile scince exibition , spark theatre and many more things. This museum will definitely give you the full proof that there is science everywhere even when the 'Science' word doesn't discovered.

Snow City:

Now its evening and its time to something cool.Snow City, nothing is cooler than this. The biggest snow city in India covering in over 12000 sq ft. they will give you all the things like earplugs, shoes, jackets, gloves but not socks so carry your socks with you to stay normal.

I took exit from the snow city at 7:30 and went to pack my bags to catch bus to Vellore which was at 10:30.

Two Days In Kanyakumari

Kanyakumari is a place where we can see the confluence of the three seas. The Bay of Bengal The Arabian Sea and The Indian Ocean. One can actually see the three colours of the waters during the low tides.

Kanyakumari the land's end of India is the southern most tip of India, also known as Indira point, is the beautiful  tourist attraction of Tamil Nadu.If you want to go by train you can. I went there by car because the scenes you can see by road, travelling with sea yo can't experience with the train or flight. The approximate stay is from 3-4 days, depending upon how much time you take to sight seeing.

Radhanagar Beach:

I started my morning by taking bath on the beach. The most famous beach at Kanyakumari. Go early in the morning before the sunrise,it is cloudy and you may not be in the positions to see the sun rise. But still, it is worth visiting the beach. You will find a lot of people around. There will be a strong breeze. But you will enjoy it. You can see he fisherman and women selling fishes of different sizes. I was a bit late to see the sunrise so I am telling you, "You don't be late".

Swami Vivekananda Rock Memorial:

Kumari Amman Temple:

On the mainland Kanyakumari is the Kumari Amman Temple.A visit to the temple is must.A beautiful Diamond nose-ring goddess is famous for sparking splendor which is supposed to be visible even after the sea.

You are here to see the Tamil Nadu and not wearing the dress code. You should wear that.  For the males there is the Adda Munda, or Dhoti, and the Anga Vastra, and saree for females.
Don't click the photos because photography is not allowed. Better to keep your cameras in you vehicle. I have been caught doing photography and given a fine of 2000 Rs.

This temple is just opposite to the entrance of the Memorial. The story of the temple is:

The temple is of Goddess Kumari Amman and the footprints of the virgin goddess can be seen here.In one of her Incarnations, Parvati, the consort of Shiva, was born as Kanyakumari Devi, who could not marry Shiva and remained unmarried and a virgin. the rice that was used for the weeding was scattered on the sands as the seven different coloured sands on the beach.

Once you reach there you will see a magnificent beach just behind the temple. One can find a lot curios on the beach. The Vendors sell all sorts of shells and shell crafts. You have to bargaining otherwise they will take double triple money from you. Conches are my favorites. You can get economical conches here than in rest of India.
There are a lot of eateries near the temple.

Suchindram Temple:
A  beautiful temple, with typical South Indian architecture, situated just about 13 kms from Kanyakumari , and is treat to visit. The insides of the temple are very intricately carved out of stone. There is a huge 18 feet idol of Lord Hanuman on your right as soon as you enter in the temple. There are musical pillars ,cut out of a single rock. There are 1035 pillars with carving and stories from Ramayana and Mahabharata are depicted on either side of the temple.

There is pujari who doubles up as your guide and takes you as around inside the temple and describes the details about the idols, the history, and the construction of the temple. It is believed that the Lord Indra was blessed by Lord Shiva and hence the name Suchi which means "purified" Indram.
Pandmanabhapuram Palace:

One of the most wonderful piece of the architecture of Kerala, is the Pandmanabhapuram Palace. Situated at around 45 Kms away from Kanyakumari but a place to visit. One can see the maintenance personnel polishing and shining the black floor with carbon black and oil and give it a gleaming appearance.

Padmanabhapuram is the capital of Travancore.

Hanging Bridge:

A long bridge which spans about half kilometers between two villages is a beautiful sight to watch. The scenery on the either side of the narrow pedestrian bridge is breathtaking.

Sunset point:

Sunset Point like any other sunset point, is about 5 kms away from Kanyakumari city. Here you can watch the sun go down from behind the clouds on the horizon. People through hereto watch the sunset. Make sure you hire a cab or an auto rickshaw to return back to your hotel.
And pack my bags to visit the capital of India, Delhi but after visiting places Bangalore and Vellore.

One day in Pondicherry

I started my journey on the after enjoy in Chennai.
A former French colony , Pondicherry, the town that is a mere three-hour drive from Chennai is a popular weekend gateway in South India with many tourist attractions and must-see-places.

Some days ago only ,I and my friends went Pondicherry, youngsters called as Pondi. There are many places to visit but not as much that you can;t visit in 1 day, I am trying to say is one day is enough for Pondi.
First we had taken the bus from Chennai.Local buses are always available and go to Pondi after every 30 minutes. So you don't have to take tension of  travelling to reach Pondi. Though it was a local bus then you shouldn't have to worry about the cost because it costs only 80-100 Rs or more less. After reaching Pondi we had booked a hotel which is also in resonable rate like 140 per person and with 3 people sharing room and a bathroom attached. All the things are too resonable. There are people from forign to rent their houses, to make money. As there are too many houses who rent ,though because of compition the prices of the rent became lower.

Bikes, scooky and many other options of transport are available. The petrol and other fuels are also cheap as compared to other states in India.Visiting Pondicherry is ultimate fun because doing stuff things like pranks and scare to people can be only done with your friends, these stuff you can't do with your family. The drinking things are too cheap as compared to other states except Goa.

People from all over the world visit Pondicherry.
At the beach side there is a place called a French colony ,famous after shooting of movie "Life of Pi".Many people like to visit once there ,not to see the french people ,to see the view of the beach from the colony. The best view of the beach is from the colony only.

You are allowed to roam at the beach whenever you want, there is no in time or out time to visit,As in Chennai you are allowed to be at beach side after 9:00 PM.But here is not. 24 x 7 the beach is open, so 24x7 people are there. Many tourists also sleeps at night due to hangover and also they saw the morning bright red sun, like first ray of sun is falling on you only.

Here are the all the places I visit in Pondicherry. All are the places should must visit but there are many places that I hadn't visit. There are many museums, parks and temples that you must see and visit. The park are soo green that you will forgot about forests.

Many places are outside the city only soo i will recommend you to heir a cab or take a vehicle on rent, so that it will be easy for you.Traffic is not their at the city due to maximum 2 whellers.

Use the GPS system to find out the direction , because the roads are confusing in Pondicherry.Ask to people is also a way to reach the destination and because of  tourists places, everywhere you will able to find food to eat, and water to drink.

Arikamedu:

The Arikamedu archeological excavation site. Its is around 7km from Pondicherry , gives you a glimpse of ancient Roman trading part of the world.

Bharathi Park:Situated close to the famous Promenade Beach , the Bharathi Park. It is surrounded by the picturesque governor building, Romen Rolland library, and the government hospital, the government park has abundant space for a leisurely stroll.

Botanical Garden:

You must visit Botanical Garden when you visit to Pondi. This garden attracted a lot of attraction after it became known that film "Life of Pie" was shot here. I have also went and filmed there.

There are monkeys to grab your food. There is toy train, aquarium and many other things for kids also. This garden is walking distance away from Pondicherry bus terminal.

Auroville
(Mantrimandir):

Its like The Lotus Temple in Agra.A silence place to gain positive energy from the surrounding by forgotting all the violence. After asking the guide there I came to know that this Mandir is equipped with the solar power plant ,so when there is no sun or after sunset the sunrays on the globe is replaced from a solar powered light.

As in Pondicherry there are many places to visits, plan as such that you are not regret afterwards about that place.
So keeping that things in mind I went to most popular place 'Les Chefs' to eat my dinner.

Its time to pack my bags and its time to enjoy the ride from Pondicherry to Kanyakumari to see that southernmost part of India and one of the best place in Tamil Nadu.

Budget:

Rs. 4000
Rs. 3000
Rs. 2000
Rs. 1000

Marina beach

Starts your morning with a walk on Marina Beach, which is actually one of the longest beach in the country.

Morning and evening perheps are the only time you can spend there, but because at the evening I have other plans.

The Kapaleeshwarar Temple

After lunch its time head out towards one of the ancient temple in the country.
The temple priests perform the pooja during festivals and on a daily basis.
Like other Shiva temples of Tamil Nadu, the priests belong to the Shaivaite community, a Brahmin sub-caste.

Connemara Public Library

Its great to be here in this library. It is comnstructed inlate 19th century. When youwill come here you will see a treasure house of centuries-old publications. With a collection of over 6,00,000 books. Its one the Asia's largest libraries.

Guindy National Park

The evening went with the animals. The only national park situated in the middle of the city. You must visit here once to see about 40 types of birds, spotted deer, jackals, tortoise, and the likes. The snake park is home to cobra and pythones. This will be one of the best few places to visit in Chennai with family where every member will enjoy experience thoroughly.

And the day gets over after doing dinner and packed my bag to visit one the best place in Tamil Nadu , Pondicherry.
